KINGWOOD, W.Va. — The Preston County Chamber of Commerce Annual Golf Scramble is scheduled for Thursday, May 10 at the Preston Country Club, located at 183 Club House Drive in Kingwood.
“The Chamber is a non-profit member-driven organization. We receive no federal, state or local funding. We rely solely on member dues and fundraising. The Annual Golf Scramble and our Girls Day Out Bash in November are our two fundraising events. We really appreciate all of the teams/businesses that participate,” Chamber Director Kristy Ash said.
To date, the teams registered for the event include: Alpine Lake Resort, Appalachian Pest Control, Bo Ward for Magistrate, Chad Reese, Clear Mountain Bank, Gaydos and Turner, GEC, Inc, Josh Hixon, Mary Ann Krewson, New Horizon Senior Living, Northern Eagle, Preston Contractors, Prodigi, Ray Thompson State Farm, Roger Adams, Steven Groves and WVU.
Teams of four are invited to play, registration is required. The cost to participate is $300 a team and includes 18-holes of golf, cart, beverages on the course, lunch, dinner and awards. Sponsorships are also available.
“We still have space available for teams, but registration does end Monday, May 6, so anyone interested in playing needs to register before then at www.prestonchamber.com” Ash said.
“This is a fun-filled day of golf and networking. We have several members and non-members participating. Many thanks go out to our event sponsors,” Ash said.
To date, event sponsors include – Alpine Lake Resort, Clear Mountain Bank, GEC, New Horizon Senior Living, Northern Eagle Inc., Preston Contractors, Prodigi and Ray Thompson State Farm.
